BLINK-182 are back! The legendary skate punkers have confirmed that they will be playing four headline shows here in the coming year. Since BLINK-182 started their career in a San Diego garage almost a quarter of a century ago, things have almost always been on a steep upward trajectory. More than 50 million sold records - worldwide refined by about 30 times platinum and gold and silver in addition - speak a clear language for the success of the Californians. But also the high recognition value, which started at the latest since their breakthrough with the third album "Enema Of The State" in 1999, has made the guys one of the most charismatic and energetic rock bands of this planet. The snotty punk rock, the varied high-speed beats of drummer Travis Barker, the always slightly infantile but always plenty rebellious preadolescence attitude of the lyrics: This was formative for the character of BLINK-182. It's not for nothing that the band motto is still "Crappy Punk Rock Since 1992". Even setbacks could not stop them: Not the interim four-year hiatus, and not now the rather unpleasant separation singer, guitarist and founding member Tom DeLonge. Instead, with Matt Skiba of the Alkaline Trio simply a great successor was found and with him the trend-setting new album was recorded. It simply bears the programmatic title "California" and goes back to the roots after the somewhat experimental last record "Neighborhoods". Short, fast, rough and loud is the motto, and that did BLINK-182 a lot of good. And for the trio's always legendary live shows, this promises to be another punkfest at its finest.
