Audible and danceable migration, cultural sampling - for the 30th anniversary of Club Guerilla, Shantel has produced a new album.
With his creative approach to mixing cultures, Shantel became the audible face of a different Germany worldwide - after all, he was the first to inject a cosmopolitan sound into pop culture in this country, making migration audible and danceable. Musical gems from Southeast Europe, the Middle East or the Mediterranean appear to him in a new, multi-layered context and thus the cultures from which they originate can be experienced intuitively. His cultural mixing and sampling takes things out of their context and transfers them into a new one. Club culture as a concept that is constantly evolving, rather than a museum in which the eternally same thing is repeated
