Ulf the fox has a grandpa who goes along with everything a grandson dreams of. Actually, everyone has such a grandpa - except Berra the mouse. That's why the two friends search in the place where many potential grandfathers are: the old people's home. There they meet Nils, an old badger, who has always wanted a grandson like Berra. "Grandpa" and "grandson" experience wonderful weeks together, they celebrate birthdays, steal cherries and build kites. Until one day Nils' room is empty.
The musical theatre
Can you whistle, Johanna?is based on the picture book by Swedish author Ulf Stark. Gordon Kampe, Schneider-Schott Music Prize winner, fascinated the role play of grandpa and grandson also musically and the title-giving hit song of the Comedian Harmonists runs through the play in always new garb. An unusual, funny and touching story about friendship and the poetry of the moment.
