That this would leave its mark on the band's sound was to be expected. However, it is surprising that Captain Capa really lean out of the window of their electropop comfort zone. "Die Neuen Captain Capa" sound out what they can expect from the listener in terms of variety - and climb over the rubble of their own back catalogue as a dark techno steam, a twisted pop epic and an emo anthem wrapped in stars and stripes. For the stage, that means more hands, more buttons, more accidents. And on tour, can really only lead to the inevitable self-destruction that the band cordially invites.
