Through friends and because of flyer distribution three searching souls and explosive characters meet: A Canadian oddball, a discarded TV youth star from Berlin and a dreamy butcher's son. Together they go for tough guys and tough music. Very successful, record deal, European tour, rocket launch. However, they realize too quickly that they are on the wrong track. Too constricted, too pessimistic, too gloomy. In order to relentlessly search for their own identity, they lock themselves in the rehearsal room for two years. They overcome their questionable self-images, swim free and cast off the shackles. They work out their music, their style and their identity. Finally their own. Rock is passé - Capitano is born. There are no limits - in their highly energetic friendship, everything is now allowed. When you go through something like this together, you can't be separated. Then in spring 2018, the debut album "Hi" will be released and off they go. Sold out release shows, astonished editors and a conservative shitstorm at ZDF Morgenmagazin. Apple Music invite Capitano as one of the very few German acts for an exclusive session.
Shows in Sweden, Canada and Germany follow. Capitano play the crowd into a frenzy at festivals, annoy main acts with high-energy support slots and increasingly draw attention to themselves. 2019 is going to be even more awesome: Capitano are booked at the world's biggest festival, Summerfest in the U.S., and have plenty of new things in store, in addition to their own tour, new songs and singles.
