Whoever was at the Orange Peel in November 2015 at Salon Noir could already personally convince themselves of the incredible talent of Cat Lee King here. He had already captivated the audience here with his duo "Grits 'N Gravy" and brought them to storms of enthusiasm. But also with other projects the singer and pianist Cat Lee King made a name for himself and started since the year 2014 with his own band. Before that he had already made a name for himself in the rock'n'roll, swing and boogie scene with "Boom Boom and the Mancinis", "Grits 'N Gravy", the "Tilmann Schneider Swing Terzett" and "Ray Collins Hot Club". Cat Lee King stands for a breathtaking voice, fast fingers on the piano keys and a strong charisma. With full commitment of body and soul, he brings the darkest blues to life with tremendous intensity, only to sweep the crowd away in the next moment with swinging, cracking rock'n'roll. The program ranges from well-known and lesser-known songs from blues, jazz, jump jive and rock'n'roll to remarkably authentic yet fresh original compositions that combine nostalgic flair and the energy of youth.
He gets fire cover from his "battle goats" Tommy J. Croole (lead guitar), Sidney Ramone (rhythm guitar), Lucky Luciano (upright bass) and The Dude (drums). The average age of the musicians is only 20 years old. They perform finest jump blues and devilish rock'n'roll. The up-and-coming masters rely on their own songs as well as cover songs. As authentic as the music is of course also their look.
