On the way to world domination - the first ever Grand Gala of Comic Art
The Caricatura Museum Frankfurt is the most beautiful museum in the world. The museum's goal is the world domination of comic art. For 10 years now, it has been giving us satirical treats at the Weckmarkt. More than 30 of the most important comic and satirical national and international artists show their works here, starting in 2008 with Bernd Pfarr, Marie Marcks, BeCK and Otto Waalkes to the current exhibition of jazz legend Volker Kriegel.
Not to forget the thousands and thousands of creations of the New Frankfurt School and the many events and festivals around comic art. Now the Mousonturm does itself the honour of preparing the stage for the protagonists, accomplices and henchmen as helpers of world domination to celebrate an appropriately dignified birthday gala. Among others, Ralf König, Hauck & Bauer, Martin Sonneborn, Oliver Maria Schmitt, Thomas Gsella, Mark-Stefan Tietze, Franziska Becker, Rudi Hurzlmeier, Hans Traxler, Katharina Greve and Sarah Schmidt will perform. The musical accompaniment is provided by Christof Stein-Schneider (Fury in the Slaughterhouse) with Krösus (Wohnraumhelden). Bernd Gieseking leads eloquently through the evening. The motto of the evening: Comrades of comic art unite - world domination is approaching!
