With the albums "Script Of The Bridge" (1983), "What Does Anything Mean? Basically" (1985) and "Strange Times" (1986), the British band THE CHAMELEONS created three post-punk classics for the ages, joining the musical ranks of New Wave heroes such as Joy Divison, The Cure, The Sound and Echo And The Bunnymen. After only six years in existence, the Manchester quartet disbanded far too soon in 1987 following the death of their manager Tony Fletcher. But their melancholic, reverberating guitar sound still has an effect today: Hits like ""Second Skin" and ""Don't Fall" have long since achieved cult status, and current bands like Interpol and Editors still show influence from them. Since 2009, former singer and frontman MARK BURGESS has been touring under the name CHAMELEONS VOX, presenting the group's back catalogue live on stages around the world with musician friends.
