Basketball champion Dirk Nowitzki and Formula 1 driver Mick Schumacher will come to Frankfurt am Main on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 for the charity soccer match "Champions for Charity". Together with Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel and soccer world champion Mats Hummels, as well as many active and former top athletes, they will play in two all-star teams in honor of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher at Frankfurt's Waldstadion.
Admitted have already the professional footballers Lukas Podolski, Timo Werner, Christoph Kramer and Florian Neuhaus. In addition, Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, table tennis pro Timo Boll, former ski racer Felix Neureuther, former field hockey player Moritz "Mo" Fürste and former handball player Christian "Blacky" Schwarzer. Former international soccer player Sami Khedira also plans to attend on August 24.
Proceeds from the game will go to social projects run by the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and the Schumacher family's Keep Fighting Foundation.
Fan Mile and autograph session before the start of the game
.In front of the Waldstadion, visitors can expect a fan mile in the afternoon with games, live music and an autograph session. The times for admission, program and start of the game will be announced separately in good time.
