Murder at Haversham Castle is the name of the play that the ambitious little amateur theatre group "Cornley Polytechnic Society" wants to put on. A classic English murder mystery in rural seclusion with family entanglements, corrupt police officers, loyal and secretive servants and extremely adverse weather conditions. But everything just goes wrong during the performance: doors won't open, props are out of place, dialogue runs in the wrong order, and actors are knocked unconscious. But no matter how Britishly stiff the crime play is, or how mercilessly the performances of the individual actors go awry, the most important thing is to keep your composure and just don't let on. The show must go on!
