Michael Roth, internationally engaged addiction expert in Frankfurt and board member, of the independent and self-financed psychosocial counseling center ZenSIS e.V., which he founded, takes an example from his US colleagues of the Facing Addiction Org., who have been organizing charity events within the framework of "Unite to Face Addiction Live" for years. His contacts to the Betty Ford Center, which have grown over the years, his US certification as well as his membership and active participation in campaigns initiated by US professional organizations, such as "Break the Stigma", which was launched by the Foundation Recovery Network. Sheryl Crow, Joe Walsh, Steven Tyler, Aloe Blacc and many others took part in the rock event "Rock and Recovery " last October, are proof of his involvement with this topic. His idea and the imminent implementation after lengthy preparatory work, to be able to hold its own event in this country in the sense of destigmatization, is now becoming a reality. On March 12, 2017, a so far nationwide unique charity concert "Rock vs. Stigma" with the headliner the Rodgau Monotones as well as Gastone & Famiglia, Wolf Schubert k. and The Sacred Blues Band, Ann Doka and Band and the Fellaws Kingdom will take place in Frankfurt's cult venue, the Batschkapp. In addition to the bands' high-profile performances, the concert theme will of course also be in focus, which is why Dietmar Kramer, Head Physician at the Salus Clinic in Friedrichsdorf, and Prof. Dr. Heino Stöver of the University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt, will be available for a panel discussion. The moderation for the evening will be taken over by Daniella Baumeister (hr). Thanks to the generous waiver of all bands and their musicians of their fees and after deduction of all costs incurred, such as location, roadies & tech support, Gema fees, personnel costs and catering, it will be possible to make a donation to the non-profit and Michael Roth over the years self-financed institution.
