The Tango Mass by Martín Palmeri (*1965) is the focus of the concert, in which the Chamber Music Association of the Hessian State Orchestra performs for the first time together with the Choir of the City of Wiesbaden (conductor: Christoph Stiller). Palmeri combines the Latin mass texts with the rhythms and timbre of the Argentinian Tango Nuevo. Bandoneon (Marlène Clément) and piano (Julia Palmova) add the typical Argentinean character to the classical instrumentation. The solo part is taken by mezzo-soprano Silvia Hauer.
