Whenever artists proclaim: "Everything new, everything better, everything more modern" caution is usually advised. Often they just want to sell a new image to the listener. But we know Christina Stürmer differently: she has always been genuine, authentic and truthful. Her credibility was and is very important to her. So when the 36-year-old announces innovations, we can confidently assume that they are really real news.

New territory. Evolutions. Art should always reinvent itself somehow, that's inherent in art. That's exactly how Christina Stürmer, all artist, has always kept it up to now. At home everywhere is not surprising in that it represents a clear artistic further development as a matter of course. But what is really surprising are, for example, the lyrics of the new songs, which of course have been written by Christina herself. Together with energetic support from her cohorts (like Oliver Varga, Tom Albrecht, Christian Neander, Joe Walter and others).

They paint a nostalgic retrospective kept in warm tones. Even in future tense II as on "In a Few Years." The first single is about all the moments in life, whether good or sometimes not so good, that you'll remember later. "Sometime in the future I'll be sitting there as an old, greying mother with my friends and together we'll remember all the things we've experienced together," is how Christina mischievously describes the song's starting point, adding "I always call it a bit of a nostalgia song." But already with the first notes it becomes clear, nostalgia does not mean retro. Quite the opposite! Christina charges ahead at least one step. There are more synths, keyboards, drum computers. Plus an irresistible chorus and even some delicate beats. All of this is exemplary of the album that accompanies it and makes you want more, want to be at home everywhere.

When faced with Christina's new sounds, listeners may rub their eyes in wonder, "This is Christina Stürmer?" Yes! That IS Christina Stürmer. As she lives and breathes. Today. And in the best sense musically on top of the times. Contemporary Pop. Memories of OneRepublic, Demi Lovato, Florence & The Machine, Of Monsters and Men flash up. Zero boredom. Zero repetition. Zero platitude. But instead, power, emotion, feeling, passion. After the last album Side by Side showed Christina from her more quiet and melancholic side and she actually won everything that could be won with her other hit CDs in the rock/pop coat (2 Echo Awards, 11 Amadeus Awards, Goldene Stimmgabel, Bambi, Leading Ladies Award, numerous gold and platinum awards and much more) it was now time to reinvent herself musically, to anchor a little more movement in the songs again. "I just feel like I could pull out trees" Christina laughs and adds "a good feeling should make each of the new songs".

This new attitude towards life just Christina with modern sounds, current arrangements and uptempo numbers very skillfully and accurately implemented. In addition, the new focus reflects exactly Christina's current musical taste, something like that is currently going on in the house of Stürmer. Despite all the reinvention, however, it was important to her that it remains recognizably Christina Stürmer. And so there are still guitars in the songs, only they are perhaps a little more in the background than before.

Furthermore, Christina has never been more personal and perhaps never more cheerful and full of life than on Überall zu Hause. It's as if she's uncovered a new, secret source of energy somewhere. In fact, she has found such a source of inspiration, and it's no secret either - it's her now two-year-old daughter. Since her birth, the young mother has drawn a lot of strength from family life, which she describes as a new and always exciting experience, as a daily adventure: "It has blown a breath of fresh air into my life". With her child she simply feels "at home everywhere" and enjoys the new phase of life with all its challenges and exciting moments. Christina is currently experiencing first-hand what it means to have a child, to watch it grow up and is rediscovering many things she had actually forgotten. "Somehow you stay the same and yet everything is different with a child by your side," Christina muses. Yet time passes so incredibly quickly.

All these new aspects and experiences are found on Everywhere at Home. In every line of lyrics, in every note. Live here and now - perhaps the hidden motto of the whole disc, brought to the point in "Freu dich nicht zu spät", among others. At the same time, our favourite Austrian was always clear about the fact that Everywhere at Home should by no means be a mum album. Of course there is a song about her daughter ("Du erinnerst mich an mein Herz") but this one also shows how open and unpathetic Christina is nowadays - and this track hits the nail on the head of the emotional world of young parents in particular. But that's about it for the whole obvious mommy touch.

But to make absolutely sure that Everywhere at Home covers a broader thematic spectrum overall, friends, fellow musicians (including her whole old familiar band, of course), acquaintances were asked for their opinions on all the songs. Especially non-parents. Text source and more information about this event at: https://batschkapp.tickets.de/de/tour/1000622-christina_stuermer
