For almost 14 years Christina Stürmer has been the figurehead of the Austrian music scene and stands for success beyond the borders of her home country. With multi-layered compositions and comprehensible lyrics as well as the alternation between quiet and loud tones. Timeless and yet at the pulse of time. With songs that first settle in the auditory canals and from there march straight towards the heart.
Christina Stürmer's enthusiasm for music began early: in her youth she played in a jazz band, and at 16 she co-founded the band "Scotty". The beginning of her great solo career, however, began with her participation in "Starmania", where she took second place. Her first single "Ich lebe" was her breakthrough in Austria, Germany and Switzerland: the song stayed at number one in her home country for nine weeks, and the debut album also rose to the top of the charts.
Nearly 14 years have passed since then, and a lot has happened: Christina Stürmer has released a total of nine studio albums and sold more than two million records, received her own wax figure at Vienna's Madame Tussauds, her song "Nie Genug" (Never Enough) became the theme song of the RTL early evening series "Alles was zählt" (All That Matters) and she performed as a duet partner of Jon Bon Jovi in front of more than 200,000 visitors.
However, Christina Stürmer has not become an unapproachable star. She is natural, down-to-earth and self-confident. She meets her fans at eye level. She used the past summer to meet her fans in a very special atmosphere under the open sky at her open air concerts. Also on tour is always her little daughter.
