Cabaret: Staying human
The good thing beforehand: Christoph Sieber has once again remained true to himself. In his new stage program "Mensch bleiben" he has again offered what makes him: the relentless, satirical look at politics, art and society.
Sieber succeeds with his bitterly wicked texts a merciless view of our time: Why are those to whom we entrust our children worse paid than those to whom we entrust our money? What will they say about us in 20, 30 years? Who will we have been? And how did we get to the point where we are consumers, users, viewers, politicians, migrants, Germans, but less and less human?
But Sieber wouldn't be Sieber if there wasn't always the other side, the mischievous, hilarious and comedic side, which makes us laugh about our existence and thus creates an impressive and inspiring cabaret evening.
Christoph Sieber has been on the boards of cabaret stages for almost 20 years. "Mensch bleiben" is his 6th solo cabaret. Along the way, he is also the host of the show "Mann, Sieber!" on ZDF together with Tobias Mann. He is the winner of the German Cabaret Award and in his spare time he enjoys being a human being.
