Chrome is an American band from San Francisco, consisting mainly of two musicians Helios Creed and Damon Edge. The band's music evolved from experimental music to psychedelic rock to, at times, danceable electronic music. After the split from Helios Creed in 1983, Damon Edge put together a completely new band in Europe. With the death of Damon Edge in the summer of 1995, Helios Creed again released material under the Chrome name. The current lineup consists of Helios Creed, keyboardist Tommy Grenas of the band Farflung and drummer Aleph Omega (joined Chrome in 1997); rhythm guitarist Keith Thomson of the Groggs and performance/video artist & vocalist Monet Clark; and Steve Fishman on bass.
