Actually it's a classic rock'n'roll story. Formed by school friends Oska Wald (guitar/vocals), Jiles (drums), and Lorenz O'Tool (guitar/vocals), Chuckamuck were signed to Staatsakt in their teens and produced their first singles in 2009, their first LP "Wild for Adventure" in 2011, and a steady stream of eps after that. Plus, of course, the touring, the rock n roll excess, the trashed hotel rooms, all the trappings you'd expect from a young rock n roll band in the throes of their first success. In 2013 came the second LP "Jiles", in 2014 the "In Jail" EP and then - radio silence: a reflective hiatus.
Chuckamuck know their way around the rock n roll tradition. A band named in the spirit of Chuck Berry and after a song by King Khan can't be accused of being unfamiliar with the history of their genre. What Would Neil Young Do The guys knew exactly what had to come: it was time to get introspective and move to the country. It was time to record themselves, and release the result as a "self-titled" album. In short, it was time for the third LP, which was released on the Staatsakt label in September 2017.
Now Chuckamuck are going on tour again - with old and also brand new, previously unreleased songs, on the road in a new van, with new band member Amit on organ and bass. This is a spectacle not to be missed!
