Tim Plegges "Aschenputtel" celebrated a brilliant success in its first season.
The touching fairy tale is a story of growing up and of love. Cinderella and her prince must both break free from domestic structures - she from tyranny, he from encroachment and the confines of misunderstood family tradition - before they can set out into a self-determined future. Set to the romantic music of Sergei Prokofiev and new compositions by Jörg Gollasch, this fairy tale, which is equally fascinating for children and adults, will also be performed by the Hessisches Staatsballett this season.
