KLIMA stands for modern German-language pop songs that move and skillfully convey moods. The lyrics convey up-close feelings and messages from real life that appeal and touch across generations. It is therefore hardly surprising that KLIMA have repeatedly won prizes in renowned competitions for up-and-coming artists: awards in three categories at the "German Rock & Pop Prize" in Hamburg, winning the "Songwriters Live Award" in Munich and the "Förderpreis für junge Songpoeten" of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation. KLIMA, that is the surname of the front woman and songwriter Vera. In her childhood she enjoyed an unconstrained life and moved for months with her parents and her sister in a camper through the USA. The unconventional lifestyle of the musically creative family was formative for her. Learning to play guitar and violin at an early age, Vera began writing her own songs at the tender age of 11 and formed the band KLIMA with her sister.
