He combines energy with calmness and intelligence with passion. He started his career in his teenage years in Erfurt as a rapper, breakdancer and sprayer. A good ten years later he has established himself as a singer/songwriter among the best German musicians.
We are talking about Clueso, one of the most successful German artists. His first album 'Text und Ton' was released in 2001 - followed by four more albums, a live album and a live DVD. His fourth album 'Weit weg' and the 'So sehr dabei' album released in 2008 reached gold status.
.Successful single releases, from 'Kein Bock zu Geh'n', with which he as a relative outsider at Stefan Raab's Bundesvisionsongcontest at the first attempt took 7th place, to 'Chicago' and 'Keinen Zentimeter' with which he again took 2nd place for Thuringia at the Bundesvisionsongcontest, to 'Gewinner', not only found themselves in the sales charts, but also all became radio hits.
With quite a lot of passion and perseverance, an excellent band and performances with the classical orchestra of the Stüba Philharmonic, Clueso has played his way from the small clubs into the big halls. In addition to tours in New Zealand, Australia, China, USA and Canada in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, Clueso not only performs in this country with the big names of the music business like Herbert Grönemeyer and the Fantastischen Vier - his 'So sehr dabei Tour' in 2008 was completely sold out.
NAfter a creative break in 2010, his fifth studio album 'An und für sich' was released on 25 March 2011. The subsequent tour in spring and autumn 2011 was sold out.
During the last few years, Clueso collected gold and platinum records, thus working his way up to become one of the best songwriters in the country. Their joint version of Udo Lindenberg's song "Cello" became a huge success.
NAfter a live break, the likeable Erfurt native returns this fall with his "Clueso Stadtrandlichtertour 2014", which also includes a small club tour. In the luggage is then his new album 'Stadtrandlichter', which was created in complete self-direction and will be released on Clueso's own label 'Text und Ton'.
