The popular KIKERIKI THEATRE is coming to the Sommerwiese an der Jahrhunderthalle for a guest performance. Since 1996, the theatre has been showing in its own COMEDY HALL in Darmstadt that puppetry can be extremely entertaining not only for children but also for adults. The KIKERIKI THEATER stands for cheerfulness, frivolity and nonsense, but never for the senseless. The play of the KIKERIKI THEATERS arises from the desire to look the people in the mouth and not to mince words when ruminating. The little problems of life, the pitfalls of everyday life and all the human weaknesses are presented in a way that is sometimes hard to digest and sometimes easy to digest. The idiosyncratic style of the KIKERIKI THEATERS also includes a lovingly ironic treatment of the specific mouth and way of life of the people of southern Hesse. The KIKERIKI THEATER is a theatre for the people, but not folksy with a stale homeland smell, but with an honest, fresh stable smell and thus a folk theatre in the truest sense.
On the summer meadow, the KIKERIKI THEATER is a guest with the "Watzmännern": two men want to climb the Watzmann together. Whether you conquer this legendary mountain of fate or find as a dream team sleepwalking to their own heights, shows this alpine pretend home play driven to the summit.
