In the Catalan city of Barcelona, already praised as a creative melting pot, the musicians of La Cafetera Roja sought and found each other in 2008. The red coffee machine can adorn itself with the label "Made in Europe", because the members of the sextet with the vocal double Aurélia Campione and Anton Dirnberger on guitar, piano, violin, cello, bass and drums come from Spain, France and Austria. So they sing and rap in five languages at once, and the mix of cultures defines the Rojas' trip-hoppy, hip-hop and Latin-inspired pop. Just like the cosmopolitan cauldron of their home base, the band's sound is bubbling with explosive energy, which of course unfolds most on stage - live and direct. La Cafetera Roja themselves describe their music as follows: "We subtly mix different styles, creating a rich, eclectic music that sometimes makes you cry, sometimes makes you laugh, and most of all makes you want to dance. Cafetera is also angry, sometimes humble and delicate, yet always intense."
