They storm the Swedish music charts, their music is loved by fans all over the world: Swedish hard rock band CORRODED is finally back with their fifth album - the second from Despotz Records.
NFollowing the release of their last album "Defcon Zero", they toured all over Europe, played sold out shows alongside PAIN and had their own headlining tour as well. They performed at festivals like "Sabaton Open Air", "Skogsröjet" and "Sweden Rock Festival", where they broke all records on the 4 Sound Stage and played in front of the biggest crowd ever. In 2019 they are set to go on another big European tour, in celebration of the new album!
Those who have already experienced CORRODED live have witnessed, among other things, the strong brotherhood of the five band members. The band itself says their cohesion is like a family. That's how they strive for their goals together and work hard for it - to conquer the world.
"Otherwise we wouldn't be where we are today. We never give up, even after some tough setbacks - we get back up and use those experiences for new inspiration and to create new music.
Our roots come from a simple working class background, this background is also reflected in our music. The fact that we've had to deal with some setbacks has made us extremely hardened and shines through in our music accordingly." - Jens (vocalist of the band).
Back to the new album, the sound is more aggressive, expansive and darker than we are used to from the Swedes. The band has now been influenced by a wider spectrum of music, but those who know CORRODED will recognize their distinctive heavy riffs, melodic passages and Jens' brutal voice that breaks all barriers like an elemental force.
"We want our music to hit the audience like a blow, but at the same time to conquer and catch them", Tomas explains.
"The album title "Bitter" is based on the findings of the social climate around the world today. Everywhere we look there is so much anger, the world is heartless and cold. Everyone is dissatisfied with their own lives and thinks someone else's life would be so much better. And when something goes wrong, it's always someone else's fault. This dissatisfaction of society is in turn shamelessly exploited by the power obsessed leaders of this world, this is how they gain their power. The world is bitter, that's what inspired our lyrics and music in the new album." - Jens.
It's brutal, honest, melodic, but also edgy. It's CORRODED and it's BITTER!
