What actually happens at a crime scene when the investigators are back at their desks and the dead are already in the morgue? Yes, life goes on, but before it does, Heiko "Schotty" Schotte scrubs away what's left of the human race.
While the bloodstains come and go, Schotty deals with life's big and small questions, encountering bereaved families and other people in a state of emotional emergency: the militant vegan, for instance, who left her boyfriend because he cheated on her with a schnitzel roll. Or the leaderless members of a "Heimatverein", where they dream of a bright brown future again.
And why won't the cursed bloodstain go away? And what does a music-making gorilla have to do with all this?
