It's hard to imagine the German thrash metal scene without the Hanoverian high-flyers Cripper. The appropriate mix of old-school and modern, served up with technical finesse and a lot of groove, bangs on the twelve and is varied and independent. The quintet around moose cow Britta Görtz formed in 2005 and since then has been burning a wide swath through the European metal landscape. Cripper have very quickly made a name for themselves as a playful and rousing live band that can inspire with their sweaty shows and good live songs.
While still touring across Europe with Overkill in the spring of 2010, Cripper played and sweated at the biggest floating festival of all time in 2011: The 70,000 Tons Of Metal. In summer 2011 Bang Your Head, Summer Breeze, Rockharz, Metalfest CH, Eisenwahn and many more German and European festivals followed. The third studio album "Antagonist", released in June 2012, contains 12 songs with which Cripper show their old-school as well as their modern side. Ampersand#039;n roll like on "Clean", the hate-monger "General Routine" or the sleek opener "New Shadow" - Cripper have matured and show it with growing enthusiasm for playing. Right after the production and release of the new video clip "Animal Of Prey", the band will go on another European tour in autumn 2012: this time with Onslaught and Izegrim. In March 2013 the next, this time even more elaborate, video production sees the light of day. Shows at home and abroad follow, including club shows in Poland, Belgium and open air festivals like Metaldays in Slovenia or Burning Sea in Croatia. And Cripper are far from full!
