With confidence, usual optimism and great anticipation Culcha Candela look to the year 2022: The guys can hardly believe it themselves - in July the band celebrates its 20th birthday! So no time to stand still! That would also be much too boring for the legendary hip-hop, reggae, Latin band, which today looks back on an unprecedented career.
Rather than resting on their success story, counting awards and watching the world go by, Mateo, Chino, Don Cali & Johnny much prefer to tackle and be in the thick of it. In 2022 the goals are clear: The anniversary album and the anniversary tour are just around the corner! And: on August 13, 2022 they stand on the stage of the summer meadow at the myticket Jahrhunderthalle.
After a total of more than five million records sold, nearly 35 precious metal awards & over 1.500 live shows, Culcha Candela are no longer reinventing themselves, but they don't have to. Whether real club bangers or hits with humor and attitude: Culcha Candela know what they're doing.
In addition to working on their anniversary studio album, the four jack-of-all-trades rarely endure simply being "onlookers".
