Curling is a popular and sociable winter sport, which can be enjoyed from now until the end of February on Mondays to Fridays from 12.30 to 2:20 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4:50 p.m., Wednesdays from 3 to 5:20 p.m. and Fridays from 3 to 5:50 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:50 p.m. at the Henkell Artificial Ice Rink, 38 Hollerborn Road.
You compete in teams or individually and put your accuracy to the test. Whether it's family fun, a school outing or a competition between colleagues, curling on the new curling rink is a lot of fun. The aim of curling is to get as close as possible to the "stave" (round rubber disc in the scoring area) with your own ice stick. In doing so, it is perfectly allowed to "shoot down" an opponent's ice stick.
The price per rink and hour is 35 euros plus one euro spectator fee per person. Registration is mandatory; it can be done now. Everything else is available at the rink ticket office, by phone (0611) 312457 or at www.mattiaqua.de.
