The Persian dance group "Kereshme" has invited three other Frankfurt-based dance ensembles to a joint evening. With their project "Dance of Cultures" they want to create a basis of solidarity and connection between different cultures through the common language of music and dance.
The dance ensemble Kereshme under the artistic direction of Dr. Saloume Gholami and the coordination of Ms. Farnoush Khosravanfar, dances the most diverse folklore dances of their diverse culture from Iran. They want to try to keep alive these dances that are being forgotten due to the ban on dancing under the present government.
The name of the Indian dance group "Taranga" means dance wave. They present 'Indian Semi-classical dance' and present a mixture of two Indian classical dance forms called <.x>Ampersand#039;Bharatnatyam' and 'Kathak' with modern Indian dance.
The dance group "Caucasiada" is the ensemble for Georgian folk dances of the association Caucasiada e.V.. , which was founded only in 2015. The aim of the dance group is to preserve the traditional Georgian dances and to make them known to the German audience. Georgian dance is wild passion combined with great body control. In breathtaking speed the dancers whirl over the stage and deliver spectacular movements, which carry away the audience.
The Cuban dance group "Momento Cubano" has arisen from a cooperation between the dance school Momento Cubano and the Cuban cultural association Casa Cultural Cubana e.V.. This Afro-Cuban dance group 'Obini Rumberas' is trained by choreographer Mariluz Fuentes, who is a dancer and dance teacher at the Momento Cubano dance school.
