Sky stormers, world class, shooting stars - the critics overflow with praise for the Aris Quartet, which was only founded in 2009. Trained by Günter Pichler and Hubert Buchberger, the young ensemble most recently garnered the highest praise with a Schubert-Shostakovich CD. Ninety concerts are on the 2018/19 calendar, inspired by the 2016 Jürgen Ponto Foundation Chamber Music Prize, no fewer than five prizes at the ARD International Competition, one of the hardest and most prestigious of the guild anywhere, and the 2018 BBC "New Generation Artists" designation. The Museums Society has nurtured a relationship with this Frankfurt quartet for years, when it first appeared in the MuseumsSalon, and this season presents it again in its chamber music series, this time in conjunction with MuseumsSoloist Daniel Müller-Schott and a program rich in relationships at the crossover between Austria and Hungary.
