DANKO JONES are hard working rock'n'rollers. The band, led by the eponymous guitarist and shouter, famously doesn't give a damn about market mechanisms, five-year plans or release constraints, preferring to focus on enduring touring. Nevertheless, DANKO and his men release a new, strong, loud album at more or less regular intervals: With "Wild Cat", released in March 2017, DANKO JONES take stock. The eleven songs represent the musical history of the band after 20 successful years on the stages of this world. On the perfect follow-up to the chart-topping record "Fire Music", the Canadian trio shows itself as dynamic and hungry as ever. On this garage-blues-rock'n'roll-riff-rock DANKO JONES is allowed to live out his boyish fantasies again, and do what most of them deny themselves (for good reason, they also come across as extremely embarrassing): play the eternal sexpot and tonguer, let off steam, sweat testosterone and blood and really, really rock. All this works so well mainly because the man simultaneously displays a smart, funny and, above all, very self-deprecating attitude.
