Darmstadt Space Days

On October 27 and 28, 2018, the Darmstadt Space Days will open their doors again - on the campus of the TU Darmstadt in the Mensa Lichtwiese. The exhibition for model making in the field of science fiction, fantasy and space travel, which is unique in Germany, presents a diverse range of products for lovers of the fantastic genre and real space travel with More than 60 exhibitors from all over Europe and hundreds of models, costumes and props.

The Space Days offer experiences for big and small: models in all sizes from science fiction to steampunk to real space travel or astronomy. Space heroes from different galaxies have announced themselves to land in Darmstadt. Whether Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Trek or superheroes - cosplayers and costume wearers are ready for unforgettable photos. Many fans will exhibit their private collections and invite you to talk shop and marvel. Visitors can get their makeup done live on site at the makeup booth, among other things - might it be a Sith Lord? Or pointed ears like an elf or Spock from the "USS Enterprise"? Or would you prefer a model of a spaceship to build? In the foyer, specialist dealers will be presenting a wide selection of models, as well as lightsabers and other science fiction accessories. The publishing house "In Farbe und Bunt" will present fantastic literature and readings. In addition, the Quidditch team of the TU Darmstadt will present this fast and challenging sport with 5 balls - the Darmstadt Athenas are the reigning German Quidditch champions. The lecture program offers a wide range from ESOC and EUMETSAT experts to classic science fiction to steampunk, as well as astronomy and extraterrestrial life for people from 6 years on. The Bistro of the Mensa Lichtwiese in the basement will be open on both days, offering drinks and sweet and salty snacks. Access to the SpaceDays e.V.
