When it comes to hard rock music, the kind that is dominated by bands like JR. Ewing and Refused on the one hand, Rise Against and Billy Talent on the other, Disco Ensemble are a force to be reckoned with not only in their native Finland. However, you won't find the typical Finnish melancholy in the sound of the ensemble. Rather, they sound like the house band at a party where the drinks never run out and there are always enough rubber animals and toilet seats floating on the swimming pool.
