After seven years of continuous partying, after successful albums like "Hopaaa!" and "Bonaparty", after the Germany-wide triumphal procession of their legendary party smashes, it's only logical to pause, look towards the horizon into the rising sun - and see where the journey continues. And the fifth studio album "Django4000" describes the new course quite wonderfully. "A bit more grown up, maybe more reflective," is how Florian "Da Geiga" Starflinger, describes the new Django music on the new album, which will be released in spring 2019.
And indeed: you've never heard Django 3000 like this before. So new, so different - and yet so Django. Almost Django 4000. A turbulent, a gripping and rousing record has been created. With music that comes across as rockier than before, straighter, less playful - and yet never denies the roots of the Free State Gitanos.

In the new Django songs, which Kamil Müller sings in his earthy, rough and powerful Slowako Bavarian, in High German and now and then in English, it's all about the inhumane, all-dominating materialism: "I see them lying, the people in the dirt, up there in the gold is your hiding place". Or about the unfortunate hate society, "Everybody moant he do better, criticize and sharpen his knife" and about destructive toxic relationships that do no one any good: "You strip me like leather from the living body. Stabbing into voodoo dolls just to pass the time".
In a ravishing ballad entitled "Wo de Berg san", Kamil Müller of all people, this parade European, sings about the sensitive subject of home, which is quickly misunderstood in today's world: "Wo die Berg san, oder nur a ebens Feld. Where the friends are, there is your heart. You feel the life, feel the pain. That's your home, that's called home." A Slovakian who has found his home in Bavaria and who sings Bavarian songs - reigning times, if only Europe would always work so great.
