Jazz and Latin singer Claudia Carbo is coming to the Theater im Pariser Hof to present an attractive mix of Latin American rhythms one Sunday a month starting in January 2019.
Boleros from the tradition of the "Buena Vista Social Club", folklore from Mexico and Cuba, Brazilian Bossa Novas in the style of Antonio Carlos Jobim and Traditional Tangos from Argentina, penned by Homero Manzi and Carlos Gardel.
Claudia Carbo's authenticity has made her a sought-after artist for years. She shifts with verve from one musical genre to the next, from the rhythmic bolero to the drama of tango to the swaying lightness of bossa nova, putting her own unique stamp on each song. She lets her voice flow, swell and ebb, modulating the notes and improvising melodiously. The jazz diva with Peruvian roots tells everyday stories in her songs.
