The story of the Spanish landed nobleman Don Quixote is a classic not only in ballet history. For the Leonid Yacobson Ballet, which already successfully presented its production of "The Nutcracker" at the Staatstheater Darmstadt in 2016, the international ballet star Johan Kobborg created his own version of this material - without losing sight of the classical tradition in the sense of the original by Marius Petipa - and thus takes lovers of classical ballet into the sweltering heat of Spain and takes them on a rollercoaster ride of emotions to which the characters are exposed.
