Strange things are happening at Monument House, the mansion of the Henk family. Never has a guest left the house alive.
At the moment, things are especially tense. After the unlamented death of their father, the children are waiting for the will to be read. They learn that Miss Ash, a writer completely unknown to them, is to receive a sizable portion of the inheritance for apparently sweetening Father Henk's retirement. So Miss Ash has to go. But a hilarious battle for the inheritance also breaks out between the members and employees of the family, with family lawyer Penworthy eagerly getting involved.
Making sure there are plenty of laughs along the way are the siblings: Dora, who is passionate about brewing dangerous drinks; Lucian, a chemist in disguise who lays claim to leadership as the oldest; Markus, who thinks he's Julius Caesar; the man-eating Monica; the thoroughly mischievous Emily; and nestling Oliver, who lives in a dungeon in the basement of the house for all the right reasons.
The Bockenheim Theatre Ensemble brings "Don't Look Under the Rose Bed" to the stage at the Kulturhaus Frankfurt and TITANIA - a play not only for lovers of British humour.
