Dota Kehr, known as street musician the "Kleingeldprinzessin", has not lost a fingerbreadth of her freedom in the years of her artistic career. Musically, Dota and her eponymous band with Jan Rohrbach, Janis Görlich and Jonas Hauer transcend any genre categorization.
Sometimes exuberantly cheerful, sometimes nostalgic and thoughtful, they always poetically address their own fears and longings and make socially critical statements on environmental destruction, materialism and flight.
So they dream in a humanistic way in the song "Borders" a passport for earthlings.
On "No Danger", Dota electronically expand their mix of styles from folk and bossa nova with driving beats and artificial sounds, carried by Dota's clear and distinctive voice.
