Alter Ego

"A true friend is, as it were, a second self." But what if the second self slowly decouples and discovers its individuality, no longer wants to conform to the guidelines and begins to rebel? The ego begins to no longer conform to its model and becomes an Other. And because ego and ego are somehow connected, a dispute arises about similarities and differences, dependencies and reinforcements, with and against each other, friction and harmony - and then? The sound of the electric guitar cannot penetrate directly to loudspeakers; in between stands live electronics that manipulate it or even hold it back altogether. The guitarist has no influence on the manipulation of the sound, he has to try to cope with the external influence. On the other side is the sound manipulator, which again depends on what the guitarist is playing. He has the potential to add new dimensions to the sound of the guitar if both react to each other. This ambivalent relationship leads to an unstable, unpredictable clash between the two protagonists. (Alter Ego)
