A main characteristic of dance as a performative art is its transience, but at the same time it is a profoundly social art form that brings dancers, spectators as well as the choreographer together for a certain time. The aesthetic experience is a process of communication, the repetition of which takes a central role in dance. 9 ensemble members of the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company spend a year exploring themes such as humanity, society, body and movement, gender issues, feelings, social media and their influence on us, demarcation between the private and the public, and finally life in movement, creating extremely varied works that emerge from the most diverse perspectives. Choregraphs/Installations: Rob Fordeyn, Gustavo Gomes, Julian Nicosia, Joel Small, David Leonidas Thiel Funded by Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain * Produced at Frankfurt LAB as part of F°LAB-Festival for Performing Arts Funded by the State Capital Dresden and the Free State of Saxony as well as the City of Frankfurt am Main and the State of Hesse. Company-in-Residence at HELLERAU - European Centre for the Arts Dresden and at the Bockenheimer Depot in Frankfurt am Main. The Frankfurt LAB is made possible by the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, the BHF-BANK-Stiftung, the Adolf und Luisa Haeuser-Stiftung für Kunst- und Kulturpflege, the ALTANA Kulturstiftung, the Crespo Foundation and the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft.
