Eagles Of Death Metal celebrate rock and roll
With the Eagles Of Death Metal, frontman Jesse ‚The Devil' Hughes is living his rock and roll dream. Thanks to classic, danceable songs and terrific shows, they are one of the best live acts around. After Jesse Hughes convinced in the meantime with his electro rock'n'roll project Boots Electric and his first solo album "Honkey Kong", he returned last year with the new album "Zipper Down" of the Eagles Of Death Metal. Immediately afterwards, the Eagles embarked on their biggest world tour to date, during which they also played in Paris on November 13, becoming unintentional victims of the Paris robberies - the most serious break in the musicians' lives to date. Less than four weeks later they continued their tour and are still in the process of making up for all the temporarily cancelled concerts. In addition to the two previously announced make-up shows in August in Bremen and Cologne, another additional show has now been announced for August 30 in Frankfurt.
It all started with an idea of former school friends Joshua Homme - frontman of Queens Of The Stone Age - and singer/guitarist Jesse ‚The Devil' Hughes. In 1998, the two formed Eagles Of Death Metal in their hometown of Palm Desert in the Californian desert - initially just because they liked the name. The great music behind it, an infectious mixture of boogie, rock and blues, only emerged later. This unusual foundation allowed the Eagles Of Death Metal to mature into one of the best rock bands on the planet
