60 exhibitors offer their creative works at the Dominican Monastery For the 33rd time, the traditional "Frankfurt Easter Market" sets the mood for spring. On Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19, the Dominican Monastery will be transformed into a colorful place full of colorful, intricately designed Easter eggs, springtime decorative items, but also sweet treats from world confectioner Bernd Siefert. Proceeds from admission and booth fees will benefit the German Multiple Sclerosis Society (DMSG) Landesverband Hessen and local MS groups. Spring is just around the corner. Nature is coming to life. A particularly atmospheric place to welcome spring is the "Frankfurt Easter Market", which will open its doors for the 33rd time on the weekend of Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19, at the Dominikanerkloster (Kurt-Schumacher-Strasse 23). And that for a good cause: Because the proceeds from the voluntarily organized market go to the DMSG Hessen. At a good 60 stands, artisans will present the diversity of their skills. Visitors can look forward to a rich selection of colorful and artistically - with the help of old and traditional techniques - designed Easter eggs, as well as Easter flower arrangements and many other spring decorative items. Completes the diverse arts and crafts offer, for example, glass art, Tiffany, woodturning, ceramics, patchwork, pewter figures, porcelain painting, embroidery, dolls, stuffed animals, origami, cards, silhouettes, candles or Erzgebirgische folk art. Homemade delicacies such as pesto, mustard, vinegar and oil and chocolates will tempt visitors. Visitors can also look over the shoulders of some of the artisans at work and watch glass being blown or a basket being woven. A culinary highlight is the stand of the world confectioner Bernd Siefert from Michelstadt in the Odenwald with sweet Easter temptations. Fruit farmer Renate Schwinn will also be there: she will bring apples, fresh eggs and homemade jam from her fruit farm in Höchst in the Odenwald. But there are also some exhibitors who will be at the Frankfurt Easter Market for the first time. "For example, an artisan is offering her woodwork, some of which is made of untreated natural wood. Another is showing her enchanting objects made of fused glass. Another pair of exhibitors has discovered felt as a material and uses it to make Easter figures or flowers," reports Ingrid Bauer, who has been organising the Easter and Autumn Markets for many years on a voluntary basis with Käte Westphal for the benefit of MS patients. The net proceeds are donated to the DMSG Hessen, which is represented at the Easter market with an information stand. There, visitors can stock up on information material, learn about multiple sclerosis, the MS self-help organization, its work and its wide range of counseling and therapy services. "Year after year, Inge Bauer, Käte Westphal and their team organise an atmospherically beautiful, colourful market that sets the mood for spring. At the same time, they are sustainably committed to MS sufferers and enable us to educate about the often difficult life situation of MS sufferers and multiple sclerosis," praises the managing director of the DMSG Hessen, Bernd Crusius, the civic commitment. 33rd Frankfurt Easter Market: Saturday, March 18, from 11 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, March 19, from 12 pm to 6 pm. Dominikanerkloster, Kurt-Schumacher-Strasse 23, 60311 Frankfurt. The cafeteria will also be open. Admission is two euros for adults, children up to twelve years are free.
