The Easter holidays are here and now it won't be long until Easter is celebrated. To get you in the mood, we recommend a visit to the open-air museum Hessenpark. The popular Easter market will take place here again on the weekend before Easter. Around ninety exhibitors will be presenting handicraft traditions and Easter goods ranging from hand-painted Easter eggs to spring ornaments and decorated candles. At some stalls, visitors can watch the
Easter eggs being painted and decorated. There are exciting hands-on activities for children. They can search for and
paint eggs, make Easter baskets, leaf saw, stuff stuffed animals, felt bunnies, and
marble silk scarves.
There will be public tours at 3 p.m. on both days, focusing on the museum's ancient domestic breeds. There will also be basket weavers, rope makers, pipe makers, wood turners,
carpenters and the historic housewife to look over your shoulder as you work
