Pink Floyd - giants of progressive and art rock, architects of massive magical sonic edifices with unique musical aesthetics, masters of ceremony of bombastic live shows - a monolith in the stream of rock history. Pink Floyd are one of the greatest bands of all time and have long held their place in rock's Olympus. However, since the much too early death of Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright in 2008, it is also finally certain that Pink Floyd will unfortunately never be seen again in the original line-up. However, the Pink Floyd tribute band Echoes carries on the legacy of this legendary band. "Pink Floyds Meisterschüler" (Vogtland-Anzeiger) around the exceptional guitarist and singer Oliver Hartmann (among others Avantasia, Rock Meets Classic) have proven this impressively in the last years at more than 400 concerts, among them festivals with Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, Manfred Mann, Asia, The Hooters, Ten Years After, The Sweet and many more, all over Europe and inspired thousands of people. Echoes take their audience on a highly emotional journey to the dark side of the moon, from "Ummagumma" to "Meddle", "Dark Side Of The Moon", "Wish You Were Here", "Animals" and "The Wall", all the way to the post-Waters era. Besides a comprehensive "Best Of Pink Floyd" some almost forgotten works are heard again. And yet an Echoes concert is not a nostalgia trip. Rather, the band shows with immense joy of playing, love for detail, powerful sound and a lot of respect for the original that the complex Pink Floyd epics are just as fascinating and up-to-date today as they were at the time of their creation - timeless, in fact. Echoes present a specially designed, almost three-hour spectacle that also does justice to the visual aspect of Pink Floyd's gigantic concerts.
