Californian singer-songwriter Ed Prosek is an artist of amazing talent. His confidant voice and thoughtful songs, full of honesty and worldly observations, set Him apart from other young songwriters. As the son of an opera composer, Ed Prosek's path to becoming an aspiring folk-pop songwriter is rock solidly rooted in the world of classical music. A former student of the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Ed traded his native California for the south coast of England in 2011.
With emerging critical praise, Ed played his way into the hearts of his listeners with his 2012 debut EP "California". A dazzling display of his talents, not only as a conventional songwriter, but also as an arranger and band leader, here is by no means befitting his still-so-young age. Rather, it's astounding what is delivered.
Following abruptly strong online presence, Ed's cover version of Paul Simon's classic song "Homeward Bound" served as the soundtrack to a Cathedral City Cheese advertising campaign on every major TV station in the UK. Accordingly, Ed and his music were presented to the national audience in a very direct manner. A subsequent self-released EP and a steady live presence in Brighton and London, as well as tours of Germany and the American West Coast, saw Ed's fanbase and online presence grow rapidly.
He consequently came to the attention of world-renowned producer Rupert Hine, who signed Ed to BMG Chrysalis/Auditorius as a songwriter in 2014.
Following the success of his singles "Holy Water" and "Hold On Tight" as well as his EPs "The Riverbed" <.x>Ampersand "Truth" Ed performed on quite a few tours in the UK, US and parts of Europe, including support slots and festivals.
In 2015, Ed eventually moved to Berlin to focus on writing and recording new material. At this time, Ed also had the honor of releasing one of his songs side by side with Sting, Kate Bush and Lorde, on `The Art Of Peace II: Songs for Tibet'.
Meanwhile, Ed amassed nearly 4 million streams on Spotify and over 600.00 plays on Soundcloud.
The latest single "Shadows" was released in late 2016 and shows his musical potential time and time again.
Ed's upcoming EP is in the wings for Spring 2017 - followed by an extensive tour.
