Heavy Psych / Psychedelic Rock Concert at KESSELHAUS
.European Tour 2017- Monumental seems "Reflections Of A Floating World", the fourth album of the heavy psych rockers Elder from Boston, who surprise here one time after another on only six songs with a decent overlength, on an album that reminds in its entirety one time after another of the "heavy metal fruit" look of Motorpsycho or 35007. Complex arrangements, odd rhythms, great melodic outings and eh an immensely varied psychedelicism is their thing. Pink Floyd, King Crimson or Neu! also keep coming to mind. Good thing they release with our friends at Stickman. Also releasing there is King Buffalo from Rochester, NY, whose fuzzy space blues-infused Americana is simply to die for. Opening the evening, again, is Melbourne's Child, who will have us dusting off the Aussie rock collection from AC/DC to The Easybeats to Rose Tattoo to Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs.
