In the beginning ELECTRIC EEL SHOCK record their records themselves, release them independently and book their shows all over the world by themselves without any help from others. Even before they sign any record deals, they have already toured over twenty different countries. In the meantime they have released three albums commercially, among others with songs with crazy names like "Transamerica Ultra Rock", "Rock N Roll Can Rescue The World" or "I Love Fish But Fish Hate Me". Here, the clichés of rock 'n' roll are taken less seriously and refreshingly reinvented.
EES have always maintained a strong connection with their fans. In 2007, they raise £10,000 together to get the band out of a "gagging contract". Before SUGOI INDEED can be released, EES raise another $50,000 through sellaband.com to help fund the recording.
During the studio recording of SUGOI INDEED, the band works to rediscover their native Japan and strengthen their live presence there. The hard work pays off when Universal Music decides to release the new album in Japan. EES will play the famed Japanese Summer Sonic Festival this summer.
But success at home won't stop ELECTRIC EEL SHOCK from conquering the world.
