What is the root of Maracatú, Soul, Afro-beat, Pop, Funk, Samba and Reggae? It's Emersound. Charismatic singer Emerson Araújo mixes the traditional rhythm in a contemporary way with hip hop, Central and South American styles to create an energetic fusion. A modern music full of verve that eludes all samba clichés and gets the audience grandiosely in the mood and moving.
Emerson Araújo started his career as a percussionist in Brazil. As such, his music is rooted in samba, but a samba full of "suingue" similar to that of a Jorge Benjor.
For many years, the musician has been active outside his tropical homeland. In his first adopted country Chile he released two albums.
Now it's time to make his music known in his second adopted country Berlin. The first release in Europe will be presented by flowfish records in April 2016. Afterwards he will go on a cd release tour through Europe. Many successful producers are involved in the production: For example, Ajani McDowell (Jamaica) has participated in 2 songs on the piano and on the production. He became known as producer of Max Herre, Patrice and Sammy Deluxe. For 3 other songs Emerson was able to get producer Victor Vagh, who also works with Flavia Coelho.
