Enemy Inside formed in 2017 in the greater Aschaffenburg area by Nastassja Giulia (vocals) and Evan K (guitar), who after many sessions and musical experiments in the studio finally found their own sound - somewhere between "Dark Rock" and "Modern Metal". Led by a sensual but powerful female front voice, the music takes on a mystical feel, not least thanks to strong arrangements and captivating hooklines with earworm character. It's a common thread that runs through the music and the lyrics: "We all carry our greatest enemy within us. The one you can hardly see coming, the one we can't hide from, the one who seems to know all our weaknesses". The album reflects the inner struggle between friend and foe, light and dark, good and evil. It is the challenge of each individual to conquer their own antagonist, contrasting sensibilities are united and ultimately Phoenix represents the cycle of rebirth, reboot and innovation.
joining the band is Concept Insomnia, a glossy metal band from Frankfurt. Since 2017, they have once again provided sleepless, groβartige metal nights throughout the Republic. After the release of their last longplayer Kaleidoscope in 2013 it became a bit quieter around the four Hessians due to professional and family developments - since summer 2016 the foot on the gas pedal is pushed through again, with in the luggage lots of new songs in the usual modern/melodic/death metal quality that reminds many fans of the good old days of the bands Soilwork, Mercenary or In Flames.
