"A la recherche de temps" by Belgian composer and artistic director of ChampdAction Serge Verstockt combines live performances with an audiovisual accompaniment. The visuals, created in collaboration with video artist Koen Theys, allow the Ensemble Modern soloists to enter into a dialogue with themselves. Their playing is reflected many times on the screen, the video recordings of the same piece appear in different dimensions - sometimes accelerated, sometimes slowed down. The multidisciplinary pieces are combined with Nicolaus A. Huber's solo work "An die Stille", which explores the boundary between sound and silence, and Jörg Widmann's "Étude II".
