Elvis fans know only one destination from August 17 to 19, 2018: the Hessian Bad Nauheim, where the now 17th European Elvis Festival will take place. Fans of the legendary King of Rock'n'Roll will experience the flair of the artist of the century throughout the city, who had his private residence in the art nouveau and health city on the edge of the Taunus, while he completed his military service at the Ray Barracks Friedberg from 1958 to 1960.
The festival is already taking place for the 17th time in Bad Nauheim and is looking at increasing visitor numbers. The city's culture department, in cooperation with the Elvis Presley Gesellschaft e.V. (EPG), the biggest Elvis club in the German-speaking area, created an extensive festival program, so that every guest can find the right event at any time of the day. The Elvis fever will reach its peak on the festival area around the Hotel Dolce as well as in the city centre of Bad Nauheim during the three days. One reason for this is also a special star guest: Darlene Love!
Last year there was already a foretaste of Darlene Love, who will be the main attraction of the festival this year. The highlight of her stay in Health City will be the Saturday night concert with a large orchestra.
For the first time on the festival stage in Bad Nauheim this year is the gospel group The Stamps with frontman Ed Enoch. In the period from 1971 to 1977 they were an integral part of Elvis Presley's concerts. The group is the oldest professional gospel quartet in the USA, which received numerous awards.
Also making his first appearance on the festival stage in Bad Nauheim is Grahame Patrick, best known from "Elvis - The Musical". The musician with Irish roots grew up with music and found his enthusiasm for Elvis Presley and his artistic works early on. Since 2003 Patrick can be seen regularly in the live show "Stars in Concert" in Berlin.
Other highlights of the festival are the Music Contest winners of the first two competitions: Sam's Fever and Ron Glaser & The Ridin' Dudes, who will open the festival on Friday evening with "Elvis in Hollywood", while Sam's Fever will be on stage on Saturday evening before and with Darlene Love.
